Living Plants

I am so excited! My Birds and Blooms Hummingbird Garden arrived today. The plants came in a little box labeled RUSH Living Plants. I just called yesterday to see when it would arrive and they said up to 4-6 weeks. So when the plants arrived two weeks earlier than the minimum time, you can believe I was very happy. Here is a picture of the order form out of the magazine, with a listing of all the plants. I ordered the premium garden.

This is a perennial garden that will come back every year on it's own. There are only two non hearty plants that will need to be removed in the fall, then placed back in the spring. One plant being the Canna and the other being the Baboon Root. Sounds like a good, low maintenance garden to me.

During the unpacking of the box, there was a paper included saying the company ran out of two plants. They replaced the two plants with similar plants and also gave a bonus pack of flowers. The Soapwart was replaced with Purple Iris's and the Butterfly Weed was replaced with Bee Balm. The bonus pack of flowers are Poppies and the company gave a generous quantity of 40.

Today is my Mom's actual birthday. I sent her a Pogo Premium Badge Book. She lives to collect badges. Later on my husband and I stopped in to visit her after our eye doctor appointments.

My Mom is letting me borrow her digital camera to take pictures of my garden progress. My camera just decided that it wasn't going to turn on anymore. I ordered a new one and just have to wait for it to arrive. It's scheduled to arrive on the 5th of June.
