Memorial Day

Today is nice day for relaxation. My husband, Wayne has off from work also. It's always great to spend the day together.

Started to sand down the outside front door metal banister. At first I used sand paper to work off the rusted spots. This proved to be hard getting down into the pitted areas. Got out the dremel tool, but didn't have the right kind of bit to get all the rust out. Need to go to the store for a wire bit and a sanding wheel to finish properly.

I the afternoon we went to Mayfair to eat and see this years shops. Tonight was the last night for it to be open. We got there around 3 pm or so. Wayne and I had no idea the place was closing at 7 pm. We barely had time to find a place to eat. In fact, we were going to eat at Take-a-Taco except when we got there they stopped serving. We ate a steak sandwich stand. The food smelled great, but it was nasty.

One great thing at Mayfair, was hula hooping. Some people were selling the hoops and they had a large area for you to try the hoops. We had allot of fun hooping. There were people doing tricks and there was a contest to win a hoop. My husband bought me one. I loved it so much that I'm interested in pursuing classes to learn how to do more. I can only hoop around my waist right now. I had no idea that this was a kind of excercise and sport. It was surprising to see hooping at the fair. Now, I'm hooked. Been looking online at hooping sites, but havn't been successful at finding instructions.
