For dinner last night, I made a new recipe. Lately I've been getting tired of the same old meals. Guess it's time to get a few new ones in the mix. It seems that all the meals scheduled for this week, except for one, is new.
Let me explain why I can't cook all the different dishes in the kitchen as I wish. My husband, is such a picky eater. He despises vegetables and will literally gag if eaten. So, I always have to evaluate recipes to try and suit his pickiness and I really hate it. Right now I'm in recipe rut and need to break out and try new things even at the expense that Wayne will have no dinner.
The new recipe is for Shells with Artichoke, Salami and Tomato. The dish consists of shell pasta topped with a unique sauce made of artichokes, salami, and sun dried tomatoes. I know it sounds like something my husband will hate, but he eats pasta and salami. So there for he can pick around anything else that he doesn't deem fitting for his taste buds.
The dish turned out terrific. It was bursting with flavor. Between the artichokes, salami, and sun dried tomatoes I can't tell which was most contributing flavor to the sauce. All the ingredients blended well together. Wayne also liked it allot. He doesn't care for the artichokes (more for me) and said he can live with the tomatoes. This is definitely a keeper.
