My husband, Wayne and I went out to an upscale restaurant. I love to go out to eat just about anywhere, but it's always seems more exciting when you have to spend alot of money for a special meal. We went to a seafood place called Henry's Salt of the Sea.
We tried to eat at this restaurant once before, but they were so full we wouldn't have gotten a table for hours. This time Wayne made reservations. When we got there the hostest seated us right away with a menu. Soon after the waitress came and took our drink orders. She came back with some glasses of water right away, but the drinks we ordered took much longer.
The menu was full of things that I didn't recognise, but somehow still sounded delicious. All the entrees came with a potato, salad bar, and vegetable. The salad bar was average, only one problem was the vegetables were sliced too thick. The cucumbers where over a quarter of an inch thick. You had three choices of potato, mashed, baked, or red. There was two choices of vegetables, peas with pearl onions or some fancy asparagus.
Wayne does not like seafood, so he ordered a NY strip steak smothered with caramelized onions. That's not technically how they called it, but that's what is was. He ordered the steak medium rare and he said that they actually made it right. It looked really good when the waitress brought it to the table. I tasted the onion topping and it was very tasty.
I ordered the broiled seafood combo meal. I like to order combo meals so I can taste a variety of things they have to offer. This way I get a real good opinion about the restaurant. My dish included a lobster tail, two very large butterfly shrimp topped with a type of crab filling, scallops, flounder, and clams casino. Everything was delicious, except for the clams casino. They had too much of a clove saturation to be enjoyable.
Henry's Salt of the Sea is definatly a place to come back to. The service was prompt and courteous. The waitress was not too attentive to refilling drinks, thou. Overall this was a great experience.
