Weeds up to my knees

Spent some more time weeding out the hummingbird garden. I've been working on it for a couple days. I can see the flowers planted there again. The weeds literally were up to my knees in height. I think they are easier to pick out of the ground when they are longer. The crab grass is always hard to remove. I absolutely dread ripping those out. There is always part of the root left, and as you know that allows the crab grass to regrow.
